I'm currently partnering with a global banking organisation who are looking to recruit an SMCR Lead for their London branch where you will be responsible for leading the continual implementation and maintenance of the SMCR within the banks entities that fall in scope. This is a newly created role for the bank and will report directly into the HR Director.
Within this role you will play an integral role in helping the bank achieve its people strategy by supporting the CEO in discharging his duties and obligations to oversee the successful management and administration of the regime. You will be responsible for partnering with a number of senior internal stakeholders on SMCR issues across the business lines and functions as well as liaising with regulators on SMCR issues. You will be accountable for engaging proactively to understand changes to business structures, populations and subsequent end-to-end, cross functional processes to ensure adherence to regulatory obligations.
To be considered for this role you will need experience operating within either a HR or compliance function within Financial Services as well as an in depth technical knowledge of SMCR. You will posses the ability to interpret and implement regulations in respect to the SCMR as well having an excellent track record of judgment-based decision making and problem solving skills.
