We're partnering with a media industry client in their efforts to hire a Senior Vice President, Human Resources. Our client is a ~450-500 employee company which is well established and has several offices both here in the US and in Europe. The SVP of HR will manage 5-6 HR professionals (business partners, operations, benefits, and recruiting) and will drive both the HR strategy and simultaneously lead HR operations.

Executive presence coupled with authenticity and thoughtfulness in approach are critical for fit with the executive leadership team. While the SVP reports to the CEO and partners closely with the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors, there will also be extensive interaction with the employees at all levels.

The incumbent has led the HR team and the business through an HR transformation and is leaving HR operations in an efficient and current state. While the new SVP of HR will be expected to be able to drive HR operations and have deep technical expertise across all areas of HR, the focus of the role will be on the maturation of HR capabilities and strategy with a heavy focus on embedding better talent management capabilities and practices, advancing D&I initiatives, and fostering culture and employee engagement. The CEO is extremely people-centric and values HR.

Our client is seeking an HR leader with 15+ years of broad experience, ideally gained in the media sector or working with a mix of creative and corporate populations. A stable and progressive track record is preferred, as is experience working in a mix of large and small companies. Candidates will need to demonstrate depth of expertise in employee relations, recruitment, benefits planning and administration (both across retirement plans and health & welfare), compensation, D&I, and talent development.

Due to Covid-19, this individual will start in the role virtually, but will likely transition to onsite support of the business as the company reopens its office in Midtown Manhattan in the future. If you're already acquainted with our firm and working with one of our recruiting consultants, please contact that individual directly to discuss this opportunity reference job #15731. Otherwise, we look forward to receiving your resume submission. Please note that our client will not provide visa sponsorship nor relocation.

The SR Group (US), Inc. is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
