This commercial organisation is large, matrix and complex with a legacy of being the market leader in their specialism but also having had to diversify hugely on its processes, projects and services and also culture and approach to their customers externally and internally.
The HR function is collaborative but also matrixed and whilst there are competing projects and priorities, working towards a more inclusive and diverse workforce is a shared and serious focus for the organisation and this is also critical for their talent strategy.
Working with the Group Head for D&I, you will bring your deep expertise and experience of creating real avenues for all talent to come through the business and reach its full potential, from early careers, building new diverse talent from scratch through various career building programmers, to leaderships teams and building a diverse panel of representatives for the business. You will help create the D&I strategy and raise your profile with senior internal stakeholders.
Your job will be to manage stakeholder engagement on projects, ensure your people are on-board and working to the common goal and you will be navigating all business divisions and functions to ensure a standard approach and to monitor metrics. You will work with a number of external organisations such as social mobility charities and have your own contacts in the market.
D&I has always had a strong voice in the organisation, with first in class programmes to support various under-represented groups and become and employer of choice. The client group is already proudly diverse but there is a lot more to still be done
In order to be considered for this role, you must have proven experience in focusing purely on D&I where you have supported the HR function and wider business to run the highest value interventions in a large and complex business. You must have exceptional talent in influencing stakeholders and taking them on this journey, helping them understand the metrics and what commitments need to be made for their business to reach its D&I goals, how those goals impact their business and what their social purpose is.
You must be able to demonstrate evidence-based D&I policy and projects. You will have experience of ERGs.
