Our client is a globally recognized professional services firm, headquartered in Europe. They have engaged our services exclusively to find a Regional L&D Manager, to be based in Tokyo due to the rapid growth in Japan. This is a brand new and exciting hire for the organization and this person will support the growth that the organization has in place for next few years.
Reporting to the Global Learning Lead, the L&D Manager will work as part of the global and regional L&D functions and act as the Learning Business Partner in understanding business learning requirements and deliver top class training programs to the leaders and managers Asia, mainly in Tokyo, Singapore , Hong Kong and Australia.
This L&D Manager will be a hands-on trainer in facilitation (both in-person and online) including inductions, soft skills as well as hard skills training, coaching programs. He/she will cultivate the learning culture across the regions and will work very closely with the global team to adapt strategies to the local markets. This trainer should also be an expert in training needs analysis to work closely with business leaders to implement new programs to up-skill their staff.
The ideal candidate must come from a learning background and must have experience in sales training. Fluency in Japanese and English is a must, and ideally be based in Japan already. It is expected that most delivery will be done in Japanese. This person should be an excellent relationship builder and will regularly collaborate with internal and external learning designers to analyse user needs and develop curriculum. High level of technology knowledge and usage are also crucial as the company is adopting many E-learning programs.
