I am delighted to be working with a leading UK brand within the Charity sector who are looking to hire an HR Director based in Bristol. This is a Board level appointment and reporting to the Chief Executive. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an organisation that puts the People agenda at its heart within an open, diverse and inclusive culture.

The HR Director will play a key role in driving this agenda and support a high performing and motivated workforce. Managing three direct reports you will partner with the Board and Senior Leadership team and support a geographically dispersed workforce throughout the UK. You will develop the People Strategy and drive the agenda on people, performance, inclusion and culture. Key focus areas will be around D&I, cultural change, employee engagement and L&D/Training, and you will need to be able to evidence having driven and delivered against these types of programmes and projects. Given the size of the organisation (c.200 + c.6,000 volunteers), you will work closely with the HR Manager to deliver improvements to the policies, processes and procedures and across a full HR generalist remit.

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced senior HR professional currently working at Head or Director level within Third Sector/Charity. You will have been responsible developing and delivering the People strategy with a clear Diversity and Inclusion agenda. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver complex HR projects and ensure senior stakeholders are brought on the journey with you by coaching and effective communication. As Director within the organisation you will report to the executive leadership team bringing a clear and comprehensive link between HR and organisations strategy. You will challenge constructively, give feedback, work well under deadlines and recommend HR approaches that support this whilst bringing your own team on the journey with you.
