I am working with a Global client based near to Cardiff and Newport in South Wales that are looking for an HR Director. This is a site based manufacturing environment, working closely with the Senior Leadership team to drive people related change and transformation while ensuring that the HR strategy is being developed and delivered successfully.
The position is responsible for managing an HR team with responsibility for all site HR policies, procedures and processes to ensure an efficient and valued HR service across a diverse workforce. However there are also a number of key change programmes including: leadership & talent development, employee engagement and communications, diversity and inclusion, coaching the senior leadership team, resourcing, culture and values, competencies and performance development. As part of a global leadership team you will also be involved with International programmes from time to time. The role reports to a Global HRD with a dotted line into the UK Managing Director.
You will be an experienced HR Director or will have worked as part of a senior leadership team within a much larger business. With experience of people related change and transformation and leadership development you will have a track record of defining and delivering a robust People agenda, happy to work in an operational capacity as needed from the demands of a busy 24/7 operation. As such you be an articulate communicator with a strong track record of engaging and building relationships with senior stakeholders. You will have led and managed an HR team. It is likely your industry experience will have been gained within a Manufacturing/Engineering/Production/FMCG environment and with a diverse site based workforce.
A strong knowledge of UK employment law is required. Due to the nature of the business you will need to access the site and live within commuting distance.
