I am working with a leading Australian insurance firm who are in urgent need of an experienced HR Business Partner on a 3 month contract, covering a secondment. This requires an immediate start and will be based in North Sydney, hybrid working is available!

About the role
Reporting into the MD of HR, you will be part of a dynamic and fun team! This is a true business partnering role with responsibility of a client group c.200. You will support the implementation of people initiatives across Diversity and Inclusion, workforce planning advice, research and analysis and building capability across the organisation.

  • Provide HR services and solutions to the Business
  • Interpret HR policies and employment legislation
  • Employee engagement and retention with the ability to develop programs to engage, motivate and improve employee performance.
  • Analyse trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Develop and implement new policies, practices and programs to meet organisational and business needs
  • Advise and guide on critical people priorities - talent, organisation capability
  • Assist with the recruitment process for the business unit
  • Assist with the annual performance appraisal process and any other organisational initiatives
  • Provide high quality industrial and employee relations advice and service
  • Contribute to Board and Monthly Business performance reporting

About you
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum 5 years HR business partnering experience. You will have excellent employment law and industrial relations knowledge and have experience working closely with managers to improve capability and performance.
You will have a strong attention to detail and have a can-do approach and flexible approach towards the role.
