I am supporting a high grow energy business in appointing their first Head of Talent & Development. The business has had an incredible growth journey over the last few years and currently employ 200 staff globally. Whilst the business headquarters are London the primary business interests are in Africa, as such there is a high preference for bilingual French and English speaking candidates.
Reporting into the Group HR Director, you will be tasked with building a world class talent function from the ground up. This is a newly created post therefore you will be responsible for forming and executing the Talent & Development strategy, initially this will be a standalone role however with budget to engage third party providers. Key tasks will include deploying a management development program, succession planning, introduce and own the LMS and identity and prioritise the deployment of training. Whilst this role will be based in London there will be travel to Africa as a component of the role and this will be around 4 trips a year.
You will have significant experience in Talent & Development whilst evidencing experience of building and deployment. Experience of emerging markets, ideally Africa would be a significant advantage, however the client will consider cross sector backgrounds so prior energy sector experience is not essential. Due to the breadth of the client base there is a strong preference for candidates who are fluent in French.
