My client an outstanding Independent Secondary school notable for its level of academic excellence and winning awards for its pupil's achievements across curricular and non-curricular activities. They are looking to appoint a Head of HR to join the HR team.
As Head of HR you will take the lead on all employee lifecycle, from performance management, employee relations, policy and procedure and staff handbook updates and recruitment. You will work with the senior leadership team to ensure a seamless HR offering with the support your HR team. You will be a full HR generalist working both strategically and operationally with a team of 2 HR Managers and 2 HR Admin+ Recruitment to support to the 550 employees, made up of teacher and non-teaching employees. The role offers autonomy across all areas of HR to truly support the school this will include support around compliance and safeguarding and Payroll. Payroll does not sit in this role but you will be involved in the input and will work closely with the Payroll Manager due to the varied employee contracts. In this role you will be the first point of call for all HR queries, supporting, coaching and guiding senior stakeholders and advising on best HR practise whilst working in a collaborative, friendly and engaging environment.
To be successful in this role you will an experienced senior level HR professional having worked in a Head of HR or HR Manager role and will have line management experience. You will be a true HR Generalist able to demonstrate your excellent HR knowledge and understanding of UK employment law . It is essential for this position that you have worked on a implementation of a new HRIS and have a good understanding of data metrics via a HRIS and project management of the training around a new system. Being a fast paced role you will have experience working flexibly within a diverse and energetic organisation and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders quickly. This client is open to sector background and is looking for a HR professional that is keen to work with the school to really develop its HR capability. You will be CIPD qualified ideally to level 5 or 7 or degree or hold a degree.
Hours: Full time role, Monday to Friday holiday and term time.
