Our client is a complex and global financial services organisation that is looking to move towards a strategic HR function in the coming years. As an HR function they are transforming the way they deliver services to the business by reshaping the operating model and investing in the latest HR technologies.

Currently the business has two core regions, split between the UK and International. Previously HR has been quite spread, with autonomy sitting with the various teams. However, in this newly created position the Global HR Director will have oversight for the global HR offering including the UK, EMEA, APAC, LATAM, North America and the Emerging Markets. This is circa 5000 employees across various jurisdictions.

The people strategy and transformational activities are anchored in the wider business strategy and priorities, enabling the companies people to support the company in being different and better in the market. This position has been created to take the HR function on a transformational journey, with the intention to create a truly strategic and business partnering offering which aligns to its core business offerings in the years to come.

To succeed in this role, you will be an strategic HR leader with extensive experience across multiple global regions. We can't unfortunately consider someone with only UK experience. The HR team is large, so management responsibility will be key and the ability to design HR programs from scratch to succeed in the longer term is key. Ultimately, the CEO and their Senior Leadership Team want HR to move from a reactive function to a commercial partner to the business.

This will have strategic oversight of the Learning & Development, Recruitment, Graduate Attraction, Branding, Talent Development, Employee Relations and HR Generalist offering. Alongside this you will also evaluate and help to upskill the current HR team, as well as restructuring their approach to suit the various markets.

Our client is paying competitively on base salary, with a cash bonus, LTI's and broader benefits included in the package.
