Our client is looking for an Associate to join the Human Resources team. The role will be responsible for support and management of compensation and budgeting processes including providing direct support to the Principal, Compensation and HR Business Partners for specified client groups. from a Compensation perspective, data management, communications, reporting, and analysis. This will role is responsible for providing monthly and ad-hoc reporting to business leaders and other approved consumers, including analysis of results vs. budget and benchmark analysis of compensation positions. The role will assist with the year-end compensation process for the firm, including the budget planning for future years, and will help in the review, development, and enhancement of compensation processes and procedures. The role will also assist in the management and reporting of equity and carried interest awards and related distributions. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional client service to the aligned client group and HR team, promptly addressing all related queries and concerns, streamlining and improving our Compensation processes to ensure best practices in a fast-paced rapidly growing environment.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with Principal, Compensation to help manage headcount planning, compensation expense, and budgets/forecasts for specified client groups
  • Help continuously assess the firm's programs relative to the market based on quantitative analysis and market research
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of the broader business and the critical components of success to help create strategic business and compensation plans alongside the HR and financial planning teams
  • Work collaboratively with other HR professionals and the broader finance team to review analytical findings and develop dynamic talent management strategies and solutions
  • Maintain and administer various HR compensation systems, reports, and analytics
  • Help analyze functional group compensation practices within the firm to determine if we are consistent in how we are recognizing performance, overall skill set and years of experience
  • Identify other opportunities to reward performance
  • Develop management reports on current practices and identify any potential exposure to the firm
  • Complete other related duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, economics, finance or accounting or related field
  • Certified Compensation Professional Certification preferred

Experience Required:

  • 1 to 3 years of analytical or compensation experience, preferably within financial services industry; experience in asset management a plus
  • Experience with Workday and/or Compensation platform(s) preferred
  • General Requirements:
  • Strong technical skills with high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Access or other databases a plus
  • An analytical mind and a passion/interest in bringing new ideas to increase efficiency of existing processes
  • Ability to manage the tactical aspects of the Compensation role while being mindful of the strategic direction of the firm
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and competing demands
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines; result oriented
  • Strong communication skills and team orientation; capability of interacting with key stakeholders to direct prioritization of Compensation-related activities
  • High accuracy and detail orientation
