Over the course of the next weeks, we will be releasing a series of Q&A's with our team. Continuing with Elena Westendorf, Global Marketing Assistant at The SR Group in Düsseldorf - We hope you enjoy the read!
What's the best place to go if you really want to find out what's going on in the office?
Everyone keeps saying it’s the kitchen, but I believe it could also be the hotel bar right next to the office...
What do you do at weekends?
I like weekends spent with friends, good food, good music and a lot of laughing - preferably outside! Unless I need to repot my ridiculously huge plant collection.
Which talent would you most like to have?
I would love to speak more languages and play more instruments.
What is your most precious possession?
A ring from my grandmother I wear every day. As I tend to misplace objects (lose things) I am very cautious with it and I sometimes check a few times per day if it’s still on my finger.
What is your greatest regret?
I don’t think it's very healthy to regret something, but rather learn from it and move on.
What is your favourite restaurant?
Since I’m very passionate when it comes to food, there are way too many. But one of my favourites will always be that little sushi place near the office. I first went there on its opening day and never really left at heart.
What’s the best piece of advice you can give someone?
Be brave and listen to your gut.
Oh and go vegan!
What is your favourite film?
Interstellar by Christopher Nolan
What did you want to be as a child?
I wanted to be a teacher.
What was the first record you bought?
The Soundtrack to ‘The Lion King’. I went to the musical when I was 6 years old and – to the very pity of my family – I learned all the lyrics by heart.
What's your favourite holiday destination?
After living in Spain for a fair bit of time, I fell in love with it and always enjoy going back.
Have you got any hidden talents?
For some reason I’m very good at picking out voices and I only need seconds to identify a voice actor or actress and other characters they’ve given their voices to. Not a very useful one though.
Who would you least like to sit next to at a dinner party?
That would be Julian Reichelt and Donald Trump.
What is the worst picture ever taken of you? Are you brave enough to share it?
Even though I said that my best piece of advice is to be brave – not this time.
